I love the Lezyne Super Drive XL light. I use two of them in fact, on on the bars and one on my helmet. On my fat bike, I ride with both on the fork mount.
But when it is below freezing and on high I have not gotten the best battery life. I mean an hour on high is great for such a small, bright, lightweight light. But one of the best things about the Lezyne Super Drive XL is that it uses off the shelf 18650 LiOn batteries.
The batteries that came with mine our 2400mAh batteries which are supposed to last 1.5 hours on high, which means it draws 1600mA at 3.7v. But in two years I have used them a ton and technology has advanced. For a mere $20 you can buy a 3400mAh battery and get 2.12 hours of run time on high.
I can say that I have done a ton of rides in the dark of 1:45 using race mode (high and medium) without the light changing from full green. The best upgrade you can do! Plus you can the original battery as a backup. While you are at it, adding an external charger from Fenix too. It charges a bit faster and can charge two batteries at a time.
