Review: Arcteryx Gamma LT Hoody

Softshell’s are pretty great and the Arcteryx Gamma LT Hoody is no exception. The Arcteryx Gamma LT Hoody is a perfect jacket for high output activities in a dry snow area like the rockies. When you are slogging up a mountain it will breath better than a traditional hardshell and keep you warmer and drier.
Arcteryx knows how to make a coat the right way. The details are everywhere, first  the pockets are a bit higher so the belt of your pack does not interfere with them.
Possibly my favorite feature is the cuffs on the sleeves. Instead of a velcro adjuster, it has a bit of stretch material. And why this is great, it as nothing to catch on your gloves when you pull them over your jacket.
It has a great inside pocket for your phone. Which I really like because I tend to do a lot of my adventures alone and like audiobooks. Whatever, I embrace that I am nerd, hell the blog is called Robonza which as you know is one of the holiest of all robot holidays. Moving on…
The hood on this coat is really well made. Great fit with enough adjustments and not too big.
You may notice it goes up nice and high to cover your chin and keep you warm. Also check the pull tabs on the zipper, it makes it so much easier to zip/unzip with your gloves on.
I am really psyched on this coat, you should get it.
