We had a short window of good weather at the end of December and I had to go for a trip in the land of 10,000 trails Canyonlands/Canyonrims. A bit of snow above 5800’ necessitated backtracking and camping lower. But anytime outside is good. If you do go just keep in mind, while the snow cover is minimal, the overnight temps are low. A night in the single digits is pretty common. Don’t check the temperature in Moab and think it will be the same down in the needles section. Which would explain why I am carrying more stuff in the pics below, all those layers take up space 🙂
Go out, have fun!
