The winter is coming. And if you are a one of the hardy souls who power through the cold months, then the King Cage Flat Top Cage could be the little treat you need to make your rides better.

What you may not immediately notice is that the cage, like its name implies has a flat top. That allows you to keep an insulated bottle holding your warm tea or other hot drink at the ready on these cold winter days. I was skeptical that it could handle real singletrack trails. I was wrong it handled the chunkiest trails with aplomb.

I have used it with Kleen Kanteen wide mouth and small mouth insulated bottles and it has worked great. Just look at this smiling face of mine.

These are handmade in Colorado and available in either stainless steel or titanium. The stainless comes in at a cheap $26 while the ti is $66. But for something that will move from frame to frame over the years it is worth it. King Cage maintains a list of compatible bottles even on his site. If you need a warm drink in the winter or a frosty treat in the summer you should pick one of these up.
