Review: Blaze AlphaWulf 27.5+ Wonderbike

I have been riding my full suspension 29er for a few years and have been curious for a new ride. I have been riding a bit more chunky/gnar trails. So the new breed of bikes with slacker headtubes, long travel forks and wider wheels piqued my interest.  Moab is full of great shops and one of my favorites is Moab Bike Fiend, Pierre the owner is also the man behind Blaze Bicycles. It just so happens he had a show bike in the store and in my size. We swapped some part to Fox shocks with Kashima coating and a GX drivetrain.

This bike is AMAZING. As a test piece let’s talk about riding Slick Rock in Moab; it is a game changer. It is incredibly stable, there were a few lines I just would not try in the past. This bike just sucked them up without blinking. And the climbing ability of this bike is like no other I’ve ever owned.
Pierre speced a great built with Chromag bars and stem, SLX brakes, Stan’s wheels with Maxxis 2.8″ tires.
Great purchasing experience and great bike. I highly recommend you talk to Pierre and get a shred sled.

I have not put a leg over my FS bike in 2 months!
