After 21 years it was time to replace my Topeak Airhammer. I of course stuck with Topeak, because who can argue with 21 years of service. I think that it came to about $0.80/year to own. A few people suggested the Joe Blow Pro and when I checked it out in the store it was clearly worth the extra coin for the pro.
It has an all metal build.
Built in hose management. Oh and that is the Topeak Smarthead, which I had upgraded the Airhammer to in about 1999. The Smarthead has a unique valve that auto selects between presta and schraeder.
And a large easy to read gauge mounted high, no more squinting to read PSI.
So far this has been a great pump and with the all metal build it will last a very long time. Smooth pumping action and quick to inflate, what more can you ask for? Oh wait what about replacement parts? Topeak offers them all.
