Review: Niterider Pro Enduro 3600 Remote

It was time to upgrade lights, and when you want quality you go with a trusted brand like Niterider. However this time it didn’t turn out in my favor. This light has abysmal run times.

I bought a Niterider 3600 Pro Enduro light and it is bright! The remote is really handy, i can slide it under my bar mitts and control it quite easily. The connectors are super solid and tight. The bar mount is great an is what all other lights should aim to be. That is where the good parts end.

Now the advertised  run times for this light are pretty amazing. On 400 Lumens it should run for 16 hours! On high a whopping 3600 lumens it should last for 1.5 hours.  Unfortunately these are not based in reality but instead complete works of fiction.

I took it on two rides, on the first ride I ran it on full and the battery burned out in 25 minutes, less than a third of what it should last. Good thing I had a spare light. I charged it again and took it on another ride. On the low setting where it should last 16 hours I got 1 hour before it went below 50% charge. So that is 12% of what the run time should be. I had to return this light as I have no confidence in it. I called Niterider and they said the cold could affect run times. I asked by what amount and they could not answer. This seems like a few hours spent running the light in a refrigerator would be a way to get these numbers for your customers.

Get used to riding in the dark as this light can’t be trusted.
