A helmet is a helmet right? They all meet the same safety standards. You may ask yourself why shell out more for a high end helmet? Because you haven’t used the Specialized S3 MT, this featherweight helmet is fantastic. This is the first helmet I have had where I find myself checking to see if it is on.
The fit is adjusted by a no fuss dial in the back of the helmet. The straps on the side are only minimally adjustable and that is great. They switched from tubular webbing to flat webbing and all you need to do dial in the fit is adjust the length at the buckle. Specialized calls this the Tri-Fix adjuster. I call it the best adjuster ever.
The Specialized S3 MT vents in the right place and a shape compatible with using a helmet mounted light.
What can I say, this helmet is great. If you need a new helmet, buy this one.
