Review: Speedy Stitcher

The Speedy Stitcher is an incredibly handy tool to have in your toolbox. This is an American made tool to fix your heavy outdoor gear. Even though I have access to industrial sewing machines, sometimes you need to work on an odd shapes object or some really heavy material and this can handle it.

The handle stores needles and heavyweight thread. As you know I love the Shimano Winter Mountain Bike Boot. But after 5 years they are starting to look a little worse for wear.

The soles have started to come undone. I have amazing gooped them back on…

That has worked for 2 months now. But the leather is seperating from the neoprene on the back.

Perfect spot for the Speedy Stitcher, the needle has to go through both the leather and neoprene. No small feat.

After a minute or two the back of the boot was fixed.

Then seem on the neoprene at the front was splitting too.

Less than a minute later the front was fixed.

I am trying to get one more season out of these, so I went over them with some Huberds Saddle Soap and Huberds Shoe Grease.

The Speedy Sticher is available almost everywhere, outdoor stores, hardware stores, online. Pick one up, you will be using it before you know!
