I have long been a fan of Bar Mitts but when it gets really cold, below 15, I can’t keep my hands warm in Bar Mitts. With the Bar Mitts you can’t wear a big glove as the mitt will compress the insulating material, you’ll lose loft. No loft, no warmth.
Now Pogies from Dogwood Designs look good on paper. Rated to “20-30” below and people seem to love them. This reputation is well deserved.
The Pogies are made of hand quilted Polarguard insulation with reflective trim. They attach to the bars easily with an internal elastic and an external draw cord.
The Pogies are so warm, in single digit temps I have had to open the draw cord at the top just to keep from sweating! They have inner stiffeners to make taking your hand in and out easy.
I have large down mittens, but I like these more, you have better control of the brakes and shifters. Along with easier use of things like cameras and your iphone. Plus my hands are actually warmer in these. It’s pretty crazy how warm these are.
Look no further, especially if you are snow biking.
I picked these up from Revelate’s site: https://www.revelatedesigns.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=store.catalog&CategoryID=5&ProductID=14
