Review: Club Ride Cross Wind Jacket

Club Ride makes great cycling apparel that looks as good as it performs. I have been wearing the Club Ride Cross Wind Jacket now for the last month and it is a super nice cycling jacket that you can wear on the trail and during post ride pizza.

The Cross Wind jacket has a cycling specific cut, with a long tail, reflective accents and a fitted hood.

The hood fits easily under a helmet. And the collar goes up quite high with cordlock adjusters to keep the weather out.

The jacket has two front pockets, a napoleon pocket and a snap pocket on the left side.

The cut dips low in the back keeping water and mud off. Although the coat is only listed as water resistant I have worn in the pouring rain and it kept me dry for 30 minutes.

The jacket packs down incredibly small, I just throw it in my pack whenever I head out. It is a great versatile layer, on mild days I wear it over a short sleeve jersey, but on really cold days I wear it over a heavy layer. If you are looking for a light, packable cycling coat pick this up. And at $84 this is one of the best deals in cycling clothing.

Club Ride says:

• Wind2O™ breathable, water
resistant fabric
• Fitted hoody
• Dropped back
• Zippered chest pocket
• Reflective accents
• Drawstring adjustments
