Review: Marmot Ether DriClime Jacket

I recently got the Marmot Ether DriClime Jacket, just in time too since it seems like it got cold here in the mountains over night. The Ether DriClime Jacket is an ultralight, insulated, windproof and water resistant coat that rocks. This coat is perfect for cold days when you are hiking, riding or trail running.

The Ether  Jacket is lined with a light weight and soft DriClime lining.

It has two waist pockets and a chest pocket. The chest pocket has a pass-through for ear phones.

The chest pocket is also the stuff sack for the coat. Which packs down TINY.

The Ether Jacket has a nice sized hood. The hood is not insulated and that lets it fit under a helmet without any problems.

The hood rolls up and has a little attachment tab sewn in.

The Ether DriClime has a cord lock on the waist to cinch the coat up on cold days. And has a nice fullsize collar that keeps the wind out.

The cut and material are great for cold days. Even on rocky technical trails with a pack on the coat did not ride up at all. The outer layer keeps the wind out, but also breathes really well. The zipper is very easy to work with gloves on while riding which is always a bonus.

If this jacket has a downside it is that it is so comfortable I wear it while off the trail too! Now I need a second one that is not covered in sweat…

Sacrifice nothing! With the magic-like bi-component wicking of DriClime® on the inside, and cutting-edge wind and water resistant fabric on the outside, you’ll be dry, comfortable, and happy, no matter where the trail takes you.
