Review: Fox River Double Ragg Mittens

Last year I picked up a pair of Fox River Ragg Mittens and was amazed at how warm they were for $12 gloves. I happened to see a pair of Fox River Double Ragg mittens at McGuckins Hardware for only $14 and had to check them out.

They are the same outer as the Fox River Ragg Mitts but they have a soft pile lining. These gloves keep your hands amazingly warm and breath really well.

The only downside they have is that if it is incredibly windy or you end up falling in the snow they don’t shed snow. But that is not specific to these gloves, anything that is not a hardshell this would happen to.

The solution to those problems, pair them with an Goretex Shell and you are good to go. I like the OR Endeavor Mitts. Even with my hands, which are notoriously cold, I have worn these down in the teens for hours and my hands were warm.

Here you can see the terry lining of the glove.

And here is Zeus, cause why not?

There is no reason not to own these Fox River Double Ragg Mittens. Even if they cost 3x as much they would be a bargain. I actually bought a second pair to leave in my truck.
