Review: SCARPA Moraine GTX

I have been wearing the SCARPA Moraine GTX trail shoe for the last month and they are straight up awesome.

The SCARPA Moraine GTX is a great all around trail shoe.  It is light enough for trail running and it also has enough support for all day hiking. The Gore-Tex lining means you will not ruin your adventure with soaking wet feet. SCARPA calls them a multisport shoe, and they truly are.

The  waterproof Gore-Tex lining in the shoe is pretty great. When you are in the mountains there is no telling when you will cross a stream or wet snow and these shined in those situations!

This time of year, the high mountain lakes are getting lower, I trudged through wet muck to let the pup go for a swim. After way too much time walking through muck nothing entered these kicks.

The cut is more running shoe than hiking boot, but on rocky trails I never wanted for more support.  The sole is aggressive and grips on rocks and dirt even when wet.

A favorite feature on this shoe is the wrap around toe rand. This helps your toes from getting wrecked and the shoe will last much longer.

These are my new go-to shoe when heading out on the trail, weather running or hiking. Pick these up if you need a new hiking or trail running shoe, you will be psyched!
