I have been using a Timbuk2 3Way case to carry my camera (Canon S95) for years now. They just released a new revision that fixed the one problem the old model had. The older version had the hook side of the velcro facing you, so it would wear at your shirt/jacket/jersey. The new one has fixed that problem and I can’t recommend it enough for carrying your camera on your shoulder strap.
The case is lined with a soft terry material. The velcro makes it easy to open and close while out and about. I use it all the time mountain biking to snap pics while riding.
It attaches with a large velcro flap. Fits all reasonable sized shoulder straps.
I dig it, I had the previous version for 5 years at least, these are great for using on a shoulder strap.
