Wheels Manufacturing was founded in 1988 making just a few small tools and spacers. Now they make over 900 items. I was lucky enough to get a tour of their facility.
Everything is done in house, raw materials come in one door and end up machined, polished, packaged and shipped out another.
Raw bar stock on the loading dock.
Those long bars of aluminum are cut in to smaller pieces first.
Now the rough derailleur hangers (as well as most other parts) are put through the de-burring process.
After being anodized they are then labelled on the epilog laser cutter.
Like I said, they do everything in house, next up they are packaged and shipped all from their single Colorado location.
This is an amazing thing in the current bike industry where everything is being sent overseas.
Wheels Mfg also makes a plethora of other gear. Their Campagnolo to Shimano cassettes are a life saver for those who want to run Campy but take advantage of the wider Shimano wheel selection.
Wheels also makes the tools required to keep bikes running. They have an array of bearing tools from their Sealed Bearing Extractor Set seen below
To the super kit the Large Sealed Bearing Press.
The Press-6 is a kit for pressing and pulling bottom bracket bearings.
And a ton of other small parts.
I thank Dave from Wheels for taking the time to show me around and let me ogle all the cool parts, tools and machines. If you need any small parts for your ride or an adapter of any kind check out Wheels Mfg,
