I don’t know any outdoor glove makers, but if I did I would ask them to make a short waterproof glove cover. Cyclists would use them, skiers, hikers, basically anyone but mountaineers could use them. And really how many times a year do most people need full gauntlet gloves?
Cyclists would love these for riding in the rain and to extend the temperature range of a midweight glove. You could keep them in a jersey pocket, or for hikers in a backpack. Anyhow Hind made a windproof glove years ago that was the right size.
These glove covers are not waterproof and are now falling apart, I think I got them at the Boulder Running Company in 2002?
So if you know anyone at a glove company, convince them to make these, I would buy a pair!
Not sure if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but Mountain Laurel Designs has been making an eVent mitt aimed at hikers for a few years. I think it’s a re-animation of an old OR design.
Doug that is perfect. Ordering a pair now. Thanks man!

I ended up getting a pair of OR Endeavor mitts which are very nice.
