Review: Keen Commuter Sandals

Now that the warm weather is gone I thought I would post a review of the Keen Commuter Sandals. I commuted in them all summer and they are great for riding on hot summer days.

They just like the Keen sandals everybody loves but are SPD compatible. The Keen Commuter’s are made of the same quality material and construction as other Keen Sandals.

I got these as a gift in the winter when it was way too cold and rainy for sandals.  Curiousity got the better of me, I wanted to try them out. I attached the cleats to the sandal by going through a pair of Showers Pass Shoe Club Shoe Covers like so:

And used them to commute in the cold rain. Now I see why all of the Rivendell Owners are always recommending wearing sandals and wool socks in the winter. They were really warm and comfortable.

I commuted in them all summer, and it is really nice to wear a pair of sandals on the warm days.

Keen Says:
Full length SPD-compatible plate
– Non-marking rubber outsole
– Polyester webbed upper with KEEN toe protection
– Removable metatomical Footbed
– TPU cleat cap plate
