Rainy Ride

I woke up to this a few weeks ago…

I threw on some Manpris (showers pass hybrid zip-offs) and a rain jacket (showers pass elite 2.0) and some gore tex shoes.

It was a rain of biblical proportions, I was on the lookout for an ark. and I got wet… Mostly my gloves, hat and pants.

I had to dry my clothes and my office was way too damp to do it in. So hey, I had a lab with tons of air moving in it, The clothes were dry in no time.
Yup that’s a fiber cable (10gbe) running between the two racks. I was sure to use an old PDU as a clothes line, not the fiber cable, ha!

I also used a Light and Motion Vega 200 on the front on blink mode so I could be seen. FYI I also have a Light and Motion Vega 120 which I bought first at a local shop assuming it blinked. But I made an uninformed purchase and the 120 does not blink, and takes 8 hours to trickle charge with no charge indicator on the light. Totally a let down, I kept it as I bought it in the spring on sale and did not have the opportunity to return it in the 14 day window, since I never even opened it.

UPDATE
On a whim I checked to see if the local shop I purchased the light from – Big Bang Bikes – would let me return the light. They did! I traded it in for a Light and Motion 200 which they had in stock. Props to them! They didn’t have to do that, but it was really nice of them and I appreciate at. Thanks a ton!

The Vega 200 fixes all those problems, blinks and quick charges with a charge indicator. Just wish I never bought the 120.
