It’s warm! It hit 70 today in PGH. Awesome.
As I may have covered before, I like showers pass gear. I have the Elite Roadie Pants, and the eVent Elite 2.0 Jacket. Both of those are great. I picked up a pair of the Hybrid Zip Off Pants.
They are full length pants, with zip off bottoms that turn them in to nickers. They are very water resistant, not water proof. I have been in drizzle for an hour and done well at keeping me dry.
They are a slightly stretchy soft shell material . With belt loops and pockets. Good for riding in all sorts of temps. If it gets too hot you can keep cool by taking off the bottoms.
Showers Pass says these are good for wearing around town and I agree. I am not sure about the office like they say. But hey maybe there office is more casual than mine… yeah I’m jealous!
But the are great for commuting, wearing to run errands and they don’t look like bike pants. I use them when I have to ride up to grad school class and not look all bike geeked out. Which I think keeps you safer, if you look like the people driving the cars, they give you a little more space. Not like a spandex clad spaceman here to destroy America.
Showers pass says:
The most versatile bike–to–office pant ever! Multi–functional lightweight, stretchy soft shell pants convert to knickers and shed dirt and water. Quick drying too. Dual leg snaps keep pant legs away from chain and crank, belt–loops and pockets take you from saddle to swivel chair without a hitch.
