So now that the broken chain has been replaced, by my local shop Pittsburgh Pro Bikes I took the Bianchi San Jose out for its inaugural ride. It was fun being out in the snow and ice on a single speed that was hooking up perfectly like it was dry.
I changed out a couple thing from stock:
It came with 42/17 gearing yeah.. now its 42/20 but I want to go 2:1…
Kenda Klondike Ice 35c studded tires
longer stem
Crank Brothers Egg Beaters
The bike felt really light and fast even with those heavy tires. More on this later as I ride it more.
you gotta rock the 42×16,feel the power!
Sweet bike, Joe. A buddy of mine has one of those. It’s a great looking bike. If it rides 1/2 as good as it looks, you’re all set!
