I have been running all winter in Rocky Mountain National Park, in the beginning I was was dealing with frozen wet feet, but then the Scarpa Neutron G entered my life.
The Neutron G is a running shoe designed specifically for the winter. The first thing you notice about the Neutron G is the built in gaiter made of Outdry material. The gaiter keeps out the snow and keeps in the heat. I have not had cold feet running once this winter.
Then the extra tall 5mm lugs on the Vibram sole give you traction in all but the iciest of trails. In fact this winter I have not used my microspikes once.
The Neutron G uses a speed lace system, which had me a bit apprehensive at first. That proved to be unfounded as they work perfectly never loosening up once on a run.
Seriously these are great shoes and you need to get a pair if you run in cold wet conditions.
Look at that smiling face running in single digits and fresh powder.
If you run in the winter hook yourself up with a pair of Scarpa Neutron G shoes.
