I have to ride the road a very short bit to get on my local singletrack. But I take the threat of inattentive cars pretty seriously, so I got a NiteRider Sabre 80 Day Time Visible Flash (DVF). This tiny little light is amazingly bright. It is 80 Lumens with a LiPo battery for long run times.
The mount fits every post I have tried so far with no slip and the light weight of the light keeps it from slanting down. It charges quickly over USB as well.
My only gripe is that it has 6 modes, of which I just want it to turn on and blink.
If you need a blinky light for riding on the road, then you cannot go wrong with the NiteRider Sabre 80.
