Waterproof. These things are waterproof. No problems there. These are the smaller of the two pairs.
I cannot fit my 15.4 laptop in these bags. That friggin blows. I think I’ll keep them for my ever so rare bike camping trip.
But no laptop, and they hold clothes, food, cell, wallet, tools beautifully. They come with the KLICKFIX system so setting them up and taking them on/off is a breeze. They have one large pocket, no dividers.
I have used them shopping. I can fit in a big soymilk, loaf of bread, potatoes, onion, 2 liter bottle of coke in just 1 pannier no problem. Ok I had do grocery tetris, but nothing was crushed when I got home. And part of my route home went over dirt trails.
I’d get these if I had a small laptop. Well actually I’d trade my laptop for a smaller one just so I could use these more. They are well built and have the REI unconditional satisfaction garantee.
