I picked up a Flux from Dave (ignazjr) at Redstone Cyclery. First, if you have not dealt with Dave, he is the coolest dude in the business. Always giving good advice and great service.
I got a Medium 08′ Flux and moved over most of the parts from my Large Klein Palomino. First I am 5’10” so I was at the bottom end of the large palomino sizing. I just put on a new Front Der, Seatpost and cranks on the Turner, everything else moved over.
The ride: So so good. The rear suspension eats up the bumps, the bike is lghter and livelier than the klein. The klein was great when I was out west, but now that I am back east the short wheelbase and quicker feel of the turner really come in handy in the tight east coast singletrack.
This morning I left the house at 6:20 with lights on and went for a rad ride out on the trails. They are still dry and its not too cold. Perfect riding weather. Now I get to look forward to some single track on the way back from work too.
