I needed some fenders for my commuter rigid mountain bike. I like the SKS/ESGE P45’s that I have for my cx bike. But they would be a pain for my commuter. Since I like to switch out wheels for riding rigid on mtn trails.
I put Zefal Trail fenders on my Cannondale Bad Boy. They provide plenty of coverage and did the job 95% as well as the larger SKS P45’s with less weight and not struts.
The rear fender attaches by clipping around your seat tube and securing with a rubber strap.
It then attaches at the brake bridge but can snap out when you need to remove it.
The front provides plenty of coverage to keep your feet dry enough. I wear Shimano winter mountain bike shoes when its cold or shoe covers when its warm and raining,
The front fender uses the same slide on/off connector to attach the fender as the rear. I have ridden some trails with these on and they did not move or make noise like the p45s have in the past.
I got mine from REI on sale for $14:
