The inner pocket is also really useful for keeping your iPhone and camera warm, which keeps the batteries from going dead in the cold temps.
I carry this vest with me on all my winter hikes, it is warm enough to wear on long cold downhills or while you are warming up in the beginning of your hike. Plus you can throw a shell over it to keep even warmer. Because of how thin the vest is you won’t feel or look like the stay-puff marshmellow man.
It packs so small I also bring it with me when I travel, just in case. It also looks nice and is comfortable too, so you’ll wear it off the trail as well.
