Review: Ibex Shak Two Layer Glove

So you want to wear wool gloves and not look you just walked out of a phish concert you say? Well check out the Ibex Shak Two Layer Glove.

The Shak Two Layer glove is made up of an outer layer of 350g Shak merino wool and lined with a softer 230g merino wool.

The palm is a made of water resistant leather, which lets you grip your handle bars or trekking poles. And conveniently for me, they are not so thick you can leave these on and use your camera.

The Shak’s have a velcro cuff for keeping heat in and snow out. They breathe remarkably well, I wear them on long uphill hikes and these do not get damp so your hands stay warm on the descent back down.

They are cut and assembled in such a way that they move really well with your hand and don’t bunch up.

The Shak Two Layer Glove is great in the back country and also looks nice enough to wear around town. It is the only glove I own, everything else is a mitten. That says a lot there!
