If you use trails in the back country long enough you will end up doing trail maintenance. It starts small at first, you move some fallen sticks… next thing you know you are out with the local trail advocacy group with mcleods and pulaskis digging holes. We have had high winds and lots of snow this winter which has lead to a lot of downed trees. Some people will look at you funny if you walk in to the woods with a saw and axe on your pack. So with that in mind I looked for a small bow saw to carry. I have tried a few folding saws but they tend to be flimsy.
