Review: Helly Hansen H2 Flow Jacket

The Helley Hansen H2 Flow Jacket is a great mid-layer or high output coat. I have been wearing this non stop since I picked it up. It is what I put on when the sun sets or when the mercury dips. It is just that comfortable and warm.

The H2 Flow uses a unique design for warmth. The coat it incredibly light and warm but still breaths incredibly well. The H2 Flow has fleece for insulation with air pockets in it sandwiched between a wind proof outer and a mesh interior.

The breathability of the coat is aided by two front chest zips, the zippered pockets run the full length of the coat, allowing you to vent while staying warm.

You can wear this alone, or throw a shell over top and be ready for the harshest conditions. What I really like about this coat is it’s durable build and materials. I am always bummed when I buy a piece of insulating gear and after one wash it disintegrates or loses is loft. This won’t happen with the Helly Hanson H2 Flow jacket as it uses proven materials like Polartec Fleece.

If you are looking for the perfect summit coat or just a great layer pick up the Helly Hansen H2 Flow Jacket.

  1. Hey Phil – I love the fit, this is a medium, where in their shirts I go up a size to a large. I'm 5'10" 148 pounds, I'm usually a medium in most gear.

I've been wearing it all winter while snow biking.

    Cheers,
