Review: Bondhus Hex Pro Pivot Head Wrenches

If you are a bike rider then you spend time working on your rides. Nothing is worse than not having the right tool for the job. Bondhus Tools headquartered in Minnesota has recently introduced a great new set of tools for wrenching on your bike. The Hex Pro tools are pivoting Torx or Hex wrenches that let you get in to tight spots.

Hex Pro tools are made from hardened tool steel with forged pivots connected by threaded Torx screws.

The Hex Pro tools are double headed so they can fit in places T-Handles or L-bends will not.

Hex Pro tools are the same size as their traditional L-bend counterparts but offer more versatility.

A reason I like the Hex Pro Pivot Head wrenches more than ball head hex wrenches is that you can apply more force without stripping out the head of the bolt. There is a still a place for a ball end allen in your tool box, but for high torque the Hex Pro Pivot Head wrenches are so much better.

The Hex Pro comes in individual sizes or as kits. I picked up the Hex Pro Torx kit with sizes T15, T20, T25, T27 & T30.

And I also got the Hex Pro hex set in size 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 10mm.  All the kits come with cases. In the cases they take up the same room as a Bondhus hex set.

Bondhus offers a lifetime warranty on all Hex Pro tools,  If any Hex Pro tool breaks or fails to meet your expectations in any way,  return it. They will replace it free.

These tools are a joy to work with. They are great hex or Torx tools on their own, but then the added flexibility of a pivoting head makes them even handier. These should be in every bike mechanics tool box.

Pivot Head Hex and TORX® wrenches allow tool users to insert wrench into socket head screw one time only, pivoting around obstacles.
Joints are engineered to be as small as possible without weakening the tool.

Forged hinges provide a simple, effective, patented design. Fewer pieces make Pivot Head Hex and TORX® wrenches stronger and less likely to break than competitors.
