A good night’s sleep is key to enjoying your time in the backcountry. I’ve been a Therm-A-Rest user for decades because they make durable quality gear. The XLite features a quieter fabric than the previous generation. I have an older Uber Lite and while I never noticed the noise, reviews on mail order sites were full of comments on that. If you need a year round sleeping pad go for the Therm-A-Rest NeoAir XLite NXT. Pairing this pad with a lightweight bag like the Space Cowboy or Hyperion and you’ve got an incredibly light and durable sleep system.
