My awesome sister in law got me the Ortlieb Office Bag for my birthday. Its a very nice bag that was obviously well thought out and made.<\/p>\n

The bag, like all ortlieb gear is waterproof which is essential in steel city where it rains all year. It has room for folders, plus two rows of pockets for pens, wallet, cell. A nice touch over the other ones I have looked at.<\/p>\n

It also has four small feet on the bottom to keep the bag off the ground, which is good if the ground is filthy (like my bike rack area…) or whet.<\/p>\n

What I carry to work:
-15″ macbook pro in a padded sleeve
– Drawls
– Undershirt
– Cell
– Wallet
– Nathan Reflective LED Vest (review soon)
– Rain cover for my bell metro helmet
– pump and tools.<\/p>\n

All of this fit with no problem.<\/p>\n

It attaches to the bike with the QLR-2 which is completely adjustable without tools. It fits securely on my Blackburn Metro rack without any shaking or bouncing on my mixed dirt\/road commute.

It mounts on an angle to the rack, which gives you plenty of heel clearance.<\/p>\n

It closes with the roll top (aka dry bag) style closure with two quick release buckles on the sides.
\"\"<\/a>
The front and rear of the bag have large reflective triangles on them for extra visibility.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>In the end I would recommend buying this to anyone who needs to carry a laptop to work and lives in a wet place. Comparing this to my short stint owning the Cannondale Cypod<\/a> shows that Ortlieb really know a thing or two about the pannier business, the mount is better, the closure is better and the construction looks better. Speaking of looks I really like the way this looks in the office compared to carrying around a regular pannier. It just looks nicer.<\/p>\n
