I know lots of folks only hike in running shoes these days, but I love a good boot for long days on trails. I already have a pair of Scarpa Zodiac Tech GTX<\/a> , but they can be overkill on snow free days. I went looking for a lighter version of that boot that is sticky, can do some scrambling and will provide support on long days out. Luckily for me Scarpa makes the Zodiac Plus. <\/p>\n

These boots fit like a glove on the first hike and continued to be super comfortable. <\/p>\n

The collar\/cuff\/top of the boot closes tightly around your ankle keeping debris out and providing support with not hot spots.<\/p>\n

The sole is aggressive and super sticky. <\/p>\n

I have hiked in the desert, the mountains and in between these boots are perfect. In fact my wife saw them, ordered a pair for herself and threw out her old boots after wearing them once. <\/p>\n

If you need a good all around boot, get these. Need something a little heavier for more snow, go for the Zodiac Tech. Both are great boots and you can’t go wrong. <\/p>\n
