Mountain Khakis has made another great layer; this time it’s the Rendezvous Hoodie. The Rendezvous Hoodie is a 300 weight Merino Wool mid layer that is so comfortable you’ll be wearing it everywhere. I’ll wear it mountain biking, hiking or to work with a collared shirt underneath.<\/p>\n

The Rendezvous Hoodie is warm enough to wear as an outer layer or a mid layer on cold days. The fast drying & moisture wicking merino is perfect for keeping you dry on high energy adventures. I use this alone while ascending below treeline and throw a shell over top when the wind kicks up. Because of how well it both wicks and dries I won’t turn in to a sweaty mess with a hardshell over top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The MK Rendezvous Hoodie has two waist pockets and a napoleon pocket. The high neck and hood keep heat in and the elements out. <\/p>\n

Obviously I have been wearing this layer a ton, which means I have been washing it. If you have owned wool in the past one thing you fear is when you’ll pull this out of the washing machine and it is child sized. Because of the high quality Merino Wool used by Mountain Khakis this is not the case. I’ve washed this a dozen times now and no shrinkage at all. You know about shrinkage?<\/p>\n

As a testament to the quality you have come to expect from MK, I have used the Rendezvous Hoodie on a backpacking trip carrying a heavy pack and sleeping in it without ruining the hoodie. I can’t think of many other wool layers that would hold up to that kind of use.<\/p>\n
