On a cold wet day nothing is better than insulated bibs. I have tried layering up my bibs with fleece or tights underneath, but they end up fitting terribly. You know the bibs have friction on the tights and you feel off all day. This winter I picked up a pair of Montbell Hydro-Breeze Insulated Bibs and they are pretty rad.<\/p>\n

They are insulated with Thinsulate 200 underneath a waterproof breathable outer. One of my favorite features is that they don’t go to high in the front or back. Most other bibs cover your full chest and back, which tend to trap in moisture. Also I notice its just hard to take pictures of bibs and not look weird…<\/p>\n

Other nice touches are the built in gaiters. The cuffs are reinforced to prevent tearing.<\/p>\n

The gaiters are fit nice and have a little loop to go under your laces.<\/p>\n

Loop it back through and you get a nice gaiter.<\/p>\n

They seal your boots pretty tight. Not as good as dedicated gaiters, but pretty darn good. <\/p>\n

And one knee\/side pocket.<\/p>\n

I like that all of the zippers have pulls on them, making them easy to use with gloves on.<\/p>\n

I really dig these overalls, particularly when compared to my last few pairs of non insulated bibs. I really like that they are not “huge”. All of my previous bibs have been really really baggy. These fit like regular pants not JNCOs. Oh my damn,I think I just dated myself.<\/p>\n
