I have a few packs that I really can say are perfect. And I usually go for packs that are burly. Built like tanks and will last through a beating in the backcountry. But sometimes you are heading out for just a few hours and you want to bring your camera, an extra few layers and water. In the winter those layers can add up. And that is where the Rock Ultralight 25 shines Made from lightweight material it is great for short days where you won’t be busting through trees or rubbing against rocks.<\/p>\n

One single quick release keeps the top loading pack closed.<\/p>\n

Elastic cords on the side compress the load and provide a place to stash an extra layer. I wouldn’t use these to strap your snowshoes to your pack, they’d probably tear the fabric.<\/p>\n

Comfortable light weight shaped shoulder straps with guides for hydration tubes keep it on your back.<\/p>\n

An adjustable sternum strap is built in.<\/p>\n

Lightweight pads and venting keep the load from poking you in the back.<\/p>\n

The top cab be tightened down with two different drawstrings.<\/p>\n

Simple 3\/4 waist belt with guides for the tails.<\/p>\n

Large opening with another drawstring to keep the snow out of your pack.<\/p>\n

The underside of the top flap\/pocket has another zipper pocket to keep you wallet and keys safe.<\/p>\n
