This little lantern is my guilty pleasure when backpacking and camping. The UCO Arka USB Lantern is a rechargeable lantern and flashlight that also charges your phone or other usb accessory. When run on high it runs for 8 hours, or on low for a hundred hours.<\/p>\n

The port on the bottom is used for charging you usb device. I know others deride the use of electronics in the back country. Not me, I listen to audiobooks. So topping off the iphone battery with the UCO Arka USB Lantern is great.<\/p>\n

It is incredibly bright with a 180 lumen CREE led. The light is adjustable from full on to dim, with blink and red led mode too. The metal widgets on the top can be used for a hook to hang from your tent.<\/p>\n

What is cool that the lantern when not extended makes an incredibly bright flashlight.<\/p>\n

In lantern mode it will make your tent glow like the day. I actually use these in my truck when we are car camping.<\/p>\n

Showing the non-USB model, the Lumora which uses AA batteries. Had I know how great this little lantern was I would have skipped the AA model and gone straight to the USB. But it’s still a great lamp too.<\/p>\n

The UCO Arka is a crazy handy. If you are like me and read in the tent in the campground this is a god send. You should pick one up, plus it charges your phone.<\/p>\n
