I love the Lezyne Super Drive XL light. I use two of them in fact, on on the bars and one on my helmet. On my fat bike, I ride with both on the fork mount.<\/p>\n

But when it is below freezing and on high I have not gotten the best battery life. I mean an hour on high is great for such a small, bright, lightweight light.  But one of the best things about the Lezyne Super Drive XL is that it uses off the shelf 18650 LiOn batteries.<\/p>\n

The batteries that came with mine our 2400mAh batteries which are supposed to last 1.5 hours on high, which means it draws 1600mA at 3.7v. But in two years I have used them a ton and technology has advanced. For a mere $20 you can buy a 3400mAh battery and get 2.12 hours of run time on high.<\/p>\n

I can say that I have done a ton of rides in the dark of 1:45 using race mode (high and medium) without the light changing from full green. The best upgrade you can do! Plus you can the original battery as a backup.  While you are at it, adding an external charger from Fenix too. It charges a bit faster and can charge two batteries at a time.<\/p>\n
