My Stumpjumper was making noises that would make your ears bleed. After I pulled the cranks out of the bottom bracket the bearings were so chunky it was awful. They must have turned in to squares…  When picking out a replacement I went with Wheels Manufacting which makes a PF30 bottom bracket here in the USA.<\/a><\/p>\n

The PF30 replacement  has a full machined aluminum build with Enduro bearings. It went it super easy and the cranks spin like butta’.<\/p>\n

The original SRAM PF30 BB was plastic and the fit and finish was nothing like the Wheels Mfg model.  Time will tell how well it works, but I have high hopes.<\/p>\n
