The pack treated me well, but I think it weighed 15lbs empty. As I mentioned before most of my trips are solo and 1-3 days. It’s just what I am in to now. The Catalyst from ULA fit the bill, at 48oz with 4600 in^3 or 75 Liters I can still carry a tent and enough clothes for winter rocky mountain alpine backpacking.

The ULA Catalyst has ample pockets on the outside to fit tent poles, water bottles and all other sorts of goodies. It holds everything I need for a short backpacking trip in the winter and is the most comfortable backpack I have used. Apparently ULA really knows what they are doing.
