Short deviation from my usual outdoor gear reviews. I live in the mountains and know that a forest fire could occur. But never wanted to see one. Well this past weekend I finished up a ride with friends and was relaxing on the couch when the power went out… I looked out the window and saw this.<\/p>\n

And then it got bigger.<\/p>\n

The firefighters and plains just kicked but and are amazing people. Day two was worse than day one. Tons of air support in the morning. We packed bags and cars and waited for an evac notice. Our friends all came over as they had been evacuated. <\/div>\n

Fine in the morning but went crazy in the afternoon. <\/div>\n

They worked until sun down. <\/div>\n

Then they just crushed in Monday and Tuesday and it is 80% contained today. Amazing work firefighters.  Firefighter rock! <\/div>\n
