I am on the never ending quest for a casual camera bag. Some may call it a murse… whatever I am cool with that. As you may know I enjoy taking pics, but they are mostly of mountain biking and hiking. I feel like I should branch out to the exciting world of not-outdoor-photography. For on the bike\/trail  use you can’t beat the MindShiftGear packs. The Rotation 180 Trail<\/a> might be the most used piece of gear I have, that is because it is awesome. But I couldn’t bring it out on the town as it looks like a sports backpack.  My search for the perfect camera bag lead me back to Greenroom136 and I could not be happier.<\/p>\n

But lets be honest, if it is owned by me it will be used for dog walks, bike rides AND socially. Last year I picked up a Greenroom136 Bootstrap pack to use as my laptop bag. It has been a great bag and still looks brand new. I saw a picture of the Greenroom136 Metromonger and decided to give it a try.<\/p>\n

The size is perfect to hold a camera, lenses and an extra layer. But it is even better than that. The straps on the bottom can be used to hold a coat, the outside has mount points for their pouches and it has a padded area for an iPad or smaller laptop. For camera duty it will fit their medium size KitCube, but I opted for the small. The reason I got the small was to save a little room for non photo stuff. The small KitCube fits my PenF and two primes.<\/p>\n

I added a Nalgene for scale, I am pretty sure it is a universally accepted unit of measure. Here is what is looks like packed.<\/p>\n

They offer a few different strap options. I opted for the cam buckle. This allows for quick adjustment and I just dig the style. The shoulder strap includes a stabilizer strap, which I remove for casual use.<\/p>\n

There is a front pocket for storing batteries, lens wipes, or keys pens pencils etc.  The back pocket it PERFECT for an iPad. One day each week I only have meetings, so I bring this instead of my normal bag with my camera and the iPad in it. It is so nice I almost want to get a smaller laptop so I could use it everyday… But that is not the point, I wanted this just for the camera. And it is great for that.<\/p>\n

As the purpose of this was to use casual I have yet to talk about that. Lets fix that, this bag is great. It looks nothing like a purse, it is built to last and is good looking. I think it might be the best casual camera bag I have ever used. <\/div>\n
