When MindShift came out with a new sling style bag I had to check it out. You see I have a bit of a bag addiction. Since my favorite pack of all time – the MindShift Gear Trail Rotation 180<\/a>  is also made by them it wasn’t long before I was out hiking with the PhotoCross 10.  I’ve been using it for a month and it has become a quick favorite of mine.<\/p>\n

Beyond the fact that the bags are built incredibly well with really thought out features they make you take better photos. “How?” you may be asking.  Well I’ll tell you; having quick access to your camera is better than any lens, body, filter, etc. Before these bags I would put my camera in an insert, put the insert in my bag, then go out. Time for a pic? Well hold on, I need to take the bag off, undo my Russian nesting doll system and miss the photo. The PhotoCross lets you grab your camera in seconds. Simply swing it around.<\/p>\n

Inside the bag you have adjustable dividers and room for a multitude of gear. There is also a spot for a tablet in a padded divider. Here it is with packed with my Olympus OMD-EM1 with 7-14mm Pro mounted, 40-150mm Pro and 12-40 Pro.<\/p>\n

And here it is with the 300mm Pro on the OMD-EM1. In fact it even fits with 300MM and MC-14 adapter on it.<\/p>\n

There is also a pocket for your accessories, I store the TC, batteries, lens wipes, etc in it. <\/p>\n

On the outside there are attachment points for extra layers or your tripod using included straps.<\/p>\n

They also include a rain cover, but the pack is made of a DWR material so you will only need it in a full on downpour.<\/p>\n

The zippers are YKK weatherproof with theft deterrent pull tabs. The tabs also make it easy to grab with gloves on.<\/p>\n

The cross body strap is wide, comfy and adjustable.<\/p>\n

The pack is perfect for a hike in the mountains or a casual walk with the pups.<\/p>\n

This bag is great for providing quick access for your camera while hiking or around town. I have thrown my iPad in it along with my camera for a day in the office, used it hiking and around town for taking pics while not in the woods(I need to work on that, need more non hiking pics) . You should get one, you will not be disappointed.<\/p>\n
